This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, applicants, and students of Abundant Life School of Ministry (“ALSOM”).
Information We Collect
- Voluntary Submissions: data you provide on our application form—name, email, DOB, address, ministry experience, etc.
- Automatically Collected: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and cookies via Google Analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- To process applications and enrollments.
- To deliver our virtual theology program and communicate updates.
- To send promotional emails by default upon registration.
- To improve our site and offerings (legitimate interest).
Communications Boundaries & Off-Platform Interactions
Scope. This Privacy Policy covers personal data processed by ALSOM through Official Channels only: (i) ALSOM’s website and learning tools, (ii) ALSOM-scheduled virtual classroom sessions, and (iii) ALSOM-designated email addresses (e.g., info@alccschoolofministry.org).
Outside Our Control. Communications conducted outside Official Channels (e.g., personal phones, private email addresses, social media, third-party messaging apps) are not collected, monitored, or controlled by ALSOM. ALSOM is not responsible for the privacy, security, or outcomes of such off-platform interactions.
Instructor Contact Details. ALSOM does not disclose instructors’ personal contact details. Students should not share their own sensitive personal information with instructors outside Official Channels.
Reports of Misconduct. If you submit a report about off-platform contact, ALSOM may process and retain information necessary to review and address the report, consistent with our legal obligations and legitimate interests in program integrity and safety.
Your Choices. You may contact info@alccschoolofministry.org to exercise your data rights (access, correction, deletion, or restriction). Opting out of marketing emails will not affect transactional or safety-related communications necessary for program delivery.
Payment Processing
We accept payments via Zelle (to zelle@alcministries.com), PayPal, and PushPay (through our church site).
Refund Policy
Registration fees are non-refundable. Tuition is 100% refundable only if requested within 30 days of registration; after that, no refunds are issued.
Data Retention
We retain active student data for 2 years, archive thereafter, and delete upon request via our Contact page.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for adults (18+); we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Security
We use TLS encryption and access controls to protect your information.
Third-Party Cookies & Tracking
We use Google Analytics for performance tracking; you can opt out via your browser settings.
Your Rights
You may access, correct, delete, or port your data by contacting info@alccschoolofministry.org.
Accreditation
ALSOM has 'Candidate Status' with Accrediting Commission International (ACI), a non-governmental religious accreditor.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy; changes will be posted here with a new Effective Date.
